This video shows how the Kinex Cappers® SA™ Capping Machine with Foot Pedal Activated Bottle Gripping Base to tighten dropper style caps onto glass bottles. The Foot Pedal Activated Base allows for complete hands-free operation of the capping machine which increases the speed and productivity of the capping process.
To cap a container, the operator places a cap loosely onto the bottle and then places the bottle onto the base of the machine, so it is resting against the backstop. The bottle is now well centered and ready to be capped.
The operator will then press the foot pedal. When the foot pedal is pressed, the grippers on the base of the machine move in to grip the bottle to prevent it from spinning during the capping process while the capping motor descends onto the cap, tightens the cap in less than a second, and then automatically shuts off.
When the capping motor shuts off, it signals the operator to release their foot from the pedal. When the operator releases the foot pedal, the grippers and capping motor retract to their starting positions and the perfectly capped bottle can be removed from the base of the machine.
