This video shows a Kinex Cappers® PS™ pneumatic bottle capper with the optional Exhaust Capture System™ tightening 28mm tamper evident caps onto 16 oz. containers.
Pneumatic motors, such as the PS™ capping motor, use compressed air as a power source to generate mechanical motion. When the motor runs, the compressed air used to drive the motor is exhausted from the top of the motor, directly up toward the ceiling.
Sterile and clean room environments typically make significant efforts to control air movement to minimize the spread of particles and contaminants. We developed the Exhaust Capture System to make our PS™ capping machine well suited for use in clean room and sterile environments. The Exhaust Capture System™ is an optional enclosure that can be added to a PS™ screw capping machine that captures the compressed air exhausted by the capping motor and channels it directly into an air hose. The exhaust air then travels through the air hose to where it can be expelled in a location that will not adversely affect the clean environment.
